The AQUA-500CN Cyanide Online Analyzerr is developed based on Ion-barbituric acid spectrometry technology. Under weak acid conditions, cyanide and chloramine T will generate chlorine gas, which then reacts with isocyanic acid to produce glutaraldehyde. Through hydrolysis, a purple compound is formed, and finally, it reacts with barbituric acid to generate another purple compound. Within a certain concentration range, the chromaticity is directly proportional to the mass concentration of cyanide.
